The Role

* Manage end to end weekly payroll processing of both wages and salaried employees
* Ensure complete and accurate record keeping of employees across internal systems
* Complete payroll reconciliations within MYOB AccountRight
* Assist with EOFY payroll reconciliations and STP finalisation
* Compile and submit apprentice payslip documentation through the Apprenticeships Data Management Systems (ADMS) portal for government incentive claims
* Timely and accurate processing of weekly payment runs and reimbursement claims
* Maintain accurate recording keeping of financial records for GST compliance purposes
* Record and issue Construction Progress claims, provide reconciliation and ensure claims are administered correctly
* Review supplier invoices and ensure payments made to contractors are properly marked for the lodgement of Taxable Payments Annual Report (TPAR)
* Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, supplier and customer statements, accounts payable and receivable ledgers, and sales registers, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date

Prerequisites

* Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
* Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping
* Completed training via the Association of Payroll Specialists or Australian Payroll Association will be highly regarded
* Strong knowledge of building and construction will be highly advantageous
* Proficiency in using MYOB Account Right
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to manage high transaction volume processing
* Effective written and verbal communication skills
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
* High level of personal and professional integrity
* Strong analytical skills
* Ability to work autonomously and within a small team
