Full-Time Baker – Gluten-Free Speciality
Wellness by Tess is a rapidly growing food brand creating Unbelievably Unnaughty treats; healthy, plant-based snacks that are gluten-free, dairy-free, and refined sugar-free. Our products are sold across Australia through retail, wholesale, and direct-to-consumer channels.
We are seeking a skilled Baker to take the lead in developing and producing our baked range, including muffins, brownies, and slices. This role will be integral to scaling our production and maintaining our high standards of quality and consistency.
Responsibilities
- Lead production of muffins, brownies, slices, and other baked goods.
- Help develop and refine recipes tailored to gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan requirements.
- Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring HACCP and food safety compliance.
- Maintain quality control across all product lines.
- Support new product development in collaboration with the Founder.
- Ensure equipment and kitchen areas are maintained to a high standard.
Requirements
- Proven commercial baking experience (essential).
- Strong knowledge of gluten-free and plant-based ingredient functionality.
- Familiarity with large-scale production processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- HACCP experience (or willingness to learn).
- Creativity, problem-solving skills, and passion for innovation in healthy baking.
