We have an opportunity for a qualified Accountant to join our team based at Phillip with experience working in small to medium businesses. The role will be for three to four days a week with flexible days and hours possible so could suit someone with family responsibilities.
The job is to assist the Financial Controller in all aspects of day-to-day accounting, compliance work and reporting as needed and to provide some cover for other accounts staff on leave. This job will include administration work as the finance team manage buildings, a car fleet and human resources including staff uniforms, insurances and WHS administration. Assisting with a weekly payroll for over 50 people is an important part of the role.
To succeed in this role, you will have great communication skills to be able to talk to staff, customers and suppliers. The ability to multi-task, good organisational and computer skills and attention to detail are essential. The successful candidate should work well as part of a team but also be able to work independently.
Tertiary qualifications in accounting plus CPA designation is required plus relevant work experience.
Pay rate is dependent on skills and experience
