Team Leader Salary: $82 920 per year (including Superannuation)

About the Role

Join our growing team in Alice Springs on a full-time, 12-month contract basis. Demonstrate organisational and leadership skills in the coordination of services to assist people with a disability in a community-based environment. The position is focused on ensuring that clients' individual needs are met whilst complying with the NDIS framework and maintaining an efficient and safe working environment for team members.

Key Responsibilities

* Ensure the team complies with the Disability Services Act Standards, NDIS framework and other relevant legislation.
* Apply a person-centred and solution-focused approach.
* Coordination and management of the day-to-day operations in our supported dwellings.

* Maintaining participant records and providing progress updates in weekly, monthly, or quarterly reports.

* Provide supervision and support to team members.
* Provide daily care, supervision, and transport of clients.
* Coordinate and support the implementation of individual care plans, including medication, activity schedules, risk assessments, hygiene, and meal requirements.

* Encourage community engagement to support and increase the life skills of clients.

* Development of professional relationships with the participants, their families and other stakeholders and engagement, and regular stakeholder meetings

* Provision of accurate and timely case notes, incident reports and house reports

* To supervise and ensure proper use of Shiftcare to record the client-care progress notes

Skills & Experience

* Cert IV or higher in Disability, Mental Health, Social Work, or other relevant qualification.
* Demonstrated experience working in a leadership/management role in a human services organisation
* Demonstrated experience in the delivery of services to people with a disability.
* Strong coordination, problem-solving and leadership skills
* Experience supporting people with high support needs and personal care.
* Knowledge of trauma and its effects on the development and behaviours of people
* The ability to contribute positively within a team.
* NDIS knowledge and awareness
* Excellent communication skills, including computer skills, internet, email, Microsoft Word,
* Candidates must have completed NDIS mandatory training modules before commencing employment.
* Excellent computer skills (including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
* A positive mindset, a proactive can-do attitude, and a solution-focused approach to client care
* Basic business understanding and the importance of a professional attitude and meeting deadlines.
* Completion of NDIS mandatory training modules
* A current First Aid Certificate
* A current unrestricted Driver's License
* Available to work on a Monday to Friday day roster.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks, including a National Criminal History Record Check, Working with Children Check, and NDIS worker screening check.
