Job Title: Disability Support Professionals
This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to make a positive change in the lives of people with disabilities. As a Disability Support Professional, you will be actively supporting individuals with complex needs by creating a safe environment and ensuring services are provided in a culturally appropriate way.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assistance with daily living tasks including bathing and grooming
* Documenting and progress note keeping for client records
* Providing behavioral support and following behavior management plans as required
* Full personal care tasks for clients with high intensity needs
* Medication assistance according to established protocols
* Safe wheelchair transfers and transportation for clients requiring mobility support
Requirements:
* Unrestricted Australian drivers license
* Current Provide First Aid Certificate and CPR certification
* Certificate III Individual Support or similar qualification and relevant mental health experience
* Commitment to supporting and promoting individual needs skills abilities and goals
* Ability to develop positive relationships with clients and support their individual personal plans
* Previous experience supporting people with disability behaviors of concern or mental health requirements
