Company Accountant (with Treasury Function)

This is a rare opportunity that blends traditional company accounting with targeted treasury exposure, offering development opportunities beyond a typical finance role.
Approximately 80% of your work will be focused on core accounting, including month-end reporting, consolidations, investor reporting, budgeting, and statutory compliance.
The remaining 20% provides structured exposure to treasury operations, including cash flow forecasting, liquidity management and working with our banking partners.
You'll work closely with our Financial Controller, CFO and Group Treasury Manager, gaining hands-on experience across the full finance cycle while contributing to the financial operations and strategic direction of a growing national business.
What you'll be doing
Preparing monthly management reports, including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statements
Performing variance analysis and delivering financial insights for senior leadership and board reporting
Managing the investor ledger, capital transactions, distributions and investor reporting
Supporting the preparation of consolidated statutory financial statements under Australian Accounting Standards
Assisting with financial data for board presentations, investor updates and scenario modelling
Contributing to budgeting, forecasting and rolling financial models alongside the CFO and Financial Controller
Leading cash flow forecasting and managing daily treasury functions to ensure sufficient liquidity
Collaborating with the Group Treasury Manager on loan funding, covenant reporting and engagement with banking partners
Ensuring compliance with ASIC, APRA, ATO and other statutory reporting (BAS, GST, FBT and Income Tax)
Supporting the external audit process and liaising with auditors and regulators
Enhancing finance processes, dashboards and reporting tools using Excel, Power BI and workflow platforms (e.g., Monday.com)
Driving continuous process improvement and assisting with finance system upgrades or implementations
About you
You're a detail-oriented, hands-on finance professional who thrives in a dynamic business environment and is comfortable working with senior stakeholders.
You enjoy combining accounting fundamentals with strategic thinking and bring the following:
2-4 years' professional experience in accounting or finance; familiarity with treasury concepts is an advantage
CPA or CA qualification.
Applicants not pursuing CPA/CA will also be considered where experience is strong
Strong financial analysis and reporting skills
Advanced Excel proficiency; Power BI or similar tools highly regarded
A proactive mindset and strong interest in cash flow, liquidity and treasury operations
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
Curiosity, initiative and a willingness to take ownership in an evolving SME environment
