As a Truck Driver, you'll be encouraged to grow, develop and feel empowered, contributing to the meaningful work of Queensland's leading charity retail brand. Our Distribution Centres across Queensland provide our 120 retail stores with quality donated goods, giving pre-loved items a second life and bringing in profit to support our Crisis Support Line and suicide prevention services.

Your part in our Lifeline team
Working out of our Rockhampton Distribution Centre, you will:
Pick-up donations from in and around clothing donation bins, private and commercial premises and Lifeline shops
Deliver stock to Lifeline shops, private and commercial premises
Deliver rags to customers which may include money handling
Unload vehicles and ensure the area is kept clean and tidy
Ensure all paperwork for the position is recorded accurately and on a daily basis
Maintain vehicles in a clean and roadworthy condition and report any security, maintenance or safety issues to relevant supervisor
Supervise the safety and work performance of Offsiders in the truck
Ensure operational timeframes are met whilst adhereing to Queensland traffic road rules
Important:
The inherent requirements of this role are physically demanding you will need to be physically fit with the capability to complete tasks that require regular lifting, standing and walking.
What makes a difference for us?
To be successful for this role you will need to the following:
Must be availability at last 2 days from Monday to Friday with shifts usually 7am-3pm.
Minimum of an MR licence (forklift licence desirable but not a requirement)
Passion for the Lifeline brand and ability to articulate its purpose
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team and organisational goals
Pride in your work and be efficient in meeting deadlines and achieving results
Ownership of work outcomes for self and team, and where appropriate assist others with on the job training
Ability to comply with all safe work practices for procedures and equipment relating to this position
