An exciting opportunity exists to provide support to the Vice President & General Manager, Global Merchant Services Australia (GMS) & New Zealand. Global Merchant and Network Services (GMNS) is the merchant network of American Express which acquires and maintains relationships with millions of merchants around the world that welcome American Express cards. This is a fast-paced role where adapting to changing priorities and being able to work under pressure is key. To be successful in this role you demonstrate experience supporting senior executives, strong organisational skills, attention to detail and an ability to work independently and confidently to a high standard. Duties will include: Comprehensive diary management Manage international and domestic travel arrangements including air, hotel, transfers, and agendas Coordinate logistics for all internal and external meetings, direct reports and leadership meetings Organise GMS internal events including Town Halls, Conferences, team building and offsite events as well as the Australian Open tennis event Ensure timely preparation of leader expense reports in accordance with the T&E policy including the reviewing of direct report expense submissions Preparing local agenda’s for international senior leadership visits across A/NZ region Lead and run Business Continuity Plan for GMS Ad hoc administrative / project work as requested by leader Skills and Experience Excellent organisation skills with a strong focus on attention to detail Previous experience supporting or working with senior executives Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and complete work in a timely fashion against firm deadlines. Strong attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy, quality, timeliness and follow through Excellent relationship skills, with ability to work with employees of all levels of leadership Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and handle highly sensitive information
