Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the bitumen terminal equipment during stock receipt, manufacture and load-out, ensuring control of HSE and quality.
Duties include:
- Operate and monitor the site distributed control system and automated gantry loading system to ensure safe, efficient plant operation
- Complete all necessary checklists and maintenance activity
- Control site access and inductions for customers, visitors and contractors in accordance with site requirements ensuring compliance with site safety rules at site entry
- Perform administrative duties as required
- Product manufacture in accordance with approved product run sheets and specifications.
- Assist to prepare the Terminal, determining tank ullages, monitoring levels and verifying product quality
- Assist in the managing of stock control through authorising receipt of goods, checking of quality against certificates and package integrity, and recording stock movements and stocktaking to enable monthly reconciliation of stock levels.
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:
- Manual Open Licence
- Forklift License & experienced operator
- First Aid certifications
- Trade Qualifications preferred
- Industrial site experience
- Strong Analytical Skills
- Strong Communication skills
- Be self-motivated and driven to make improvements
- Strong team player
- Focus on Customer Service
- Able to manage difficult situations calmly (including emergency management)
- Microsoft Office skills
HIGHLY DESIRABLE
- Experience in safe operation of a Bitumen facility, or similar, preferred
- Experience in use of a distributed control system preferred
- Knowledge of relevant industry engineering and safety standards
Availability for a variety of shifts as plant will run 24/7 is needed. Roster ensures equal distriubution of shifts between the team, some wk ends and night shifts required.
