About the RoleThis is an opportunity to join a high-performing urban development team and make a significant impact across major residential, industrial, commercial, and broader land development projects. As aPrincipal Design Engineer, you will be central to technical delivery, team leadership, and business growth across the VIC urban development market. You will lead complex engineering design projects from due diligence through to detailed design and construction support, while strengthening the team's technical capability and mentoring junior engineers. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide high-level technical leadership across urban development engineering design (primarily Greenfield, major estates and built-form/strata developments). Oversee project delivery to meet budget, quality, safety, and program targets. Contribute to due diligence, cost estimates, master planning, functional and detailed design, and support construction engineering. Mentor and develop junior engineers to build a strong, capable technical team. Manage internal design teams and champion best-practice QA, reviews, and technical delivery. Build strong cross-disciplinary relationships across teams and external partners to maximise project outcomes. Ensure efficient collaboration and integration with interstate and overseas teams. About YouYou are an experienced civil engineer with deep knowledge of theVIC urban developmentmarket, and you're passionate about delivering high-quality, city‐shaping projects. You will bringDegree in Civil Engineering (required). CPEng, RPEV and MRWA accreditation (SD1, SD2, WD1, WD2). Registered Building Practitioner (preferred). Strong knowledge of IDM, EDCM, Austroads and Melbourne Water guidelines. Experience with sewer rising main and pump station design (desirable).
