Job Description
As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the hydrographic network, ensuring continuous availability of high-quality data for informed business decision making.
You will maintain data quality and oversee monitoring networks through various online systems, leading project initiation for improvement initiatives pertaining to Melbourne Water's Hydrographic Network.
Additionally, you will manage troubleshooting and initiating solutions concerning hydrographic monitoring equipment, stream gauging stations, and data collection.

In this role, you will work closely with the Manager – Flood Hydrology and Environmental Monitoring to achieve operational excellence in water-related services.

Required Skills and Qualifications
* Comprehensive understanding of hydrography and hydrology
* Strong personal qualities such as interpersonal skills, initiative, and clear communication abilities
* Familiarity with flood prediction, warning provision, and response procedures
* Practical experience in data management, analysis, and reporting within water resources, environmental management, or engineering domains
* Relevant tertiary qualification in hydrology, engineering, or science, or equivalent industry experience
