Where you'll be working
You will be based at a modern regional hospital in Tasmania's North West, delivering comprehensive acute and sub-acute general medical care to a diverse community population. The service includes a strong outpatient component and works closely with allied health and specialty teams to provide coordinated, patient-centred care.
You'll join an experienced and collegial physician group with a broad mix of subspecialty interests. A background or interest in geriatrics or rehabilitation would complement the existing service profile, though skilled general physicians are equally encouraged to apply. The environment supports clinical autonomy, innovation and active involvement in service planning and development.
The department holds accreditation for both basic and advanced physician training in General Medicine, creating opportunities to supervise trainees and contribute to undergraduate education through established university partnerships. Salary information
Total package from $380,000 - $550,000+ depending on level of seniority.
Requirements
Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent. Physicians eligible for the fast-track registration pathway are encouraged to apply.
