Workshop Foreman
to lead our fabrication and fitting team at our Dandenong South facility.
About the Role
This is a leadership position for someone who takes pride in quality work and knows how to get the best out of a team. You'll oversee the day-to-day operations of our workshop, ensuring jobs are delivered safely, on time, and to our high standards.
You'll work closely with management, clients, and site teams — coordinating fabrication, fitting, and maintenance projects in our workshop, while maintaining an efficient and well-organised workspace.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily operations and workflow within the workshop
* Allocate labour, materials, and equipment across multiple projects
* Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards
* Lead, mentor, and develop tradespeople and apprentices
* Communicate effectively with site supervisors and management
* Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workshop environment
* Provide input into job planning, scheduling, and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
* Qualified tradesperson (Fitter, Boilermaker, or similar)
* Proven experience in a supervisory or leading hand role
* Strong mechanical and fabrication knowledge
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Organised, reliable, and calm under pressure
* Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
* A hands-on approach — willing to lead by example
