Position Summary
The Casual Sales Assistant is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, driving sales, and maintaining the visual appeal of the Anker store. This role requires flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, to support peak trading periods. You will be the face of the Anker brand, educating customers on our innovative product range.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Service and Sales (Core Focus)
* Achieve Sales Targets: Actively engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable Anker, Soundcore, eufy, or Nebula products, consistently meeting individual and store sales goals.
* Product Expertise: Become an expert in the entire Anker ecosystem. Clearly and enthusiastically explain product features, benefits, and technical specifications (e.g., charging standards, wattage, features).
* Exceptional Service: Provide a friendly, approachable, and professional shopping experience, handling inquiries, processing transactions accurately, and resolving minor customer issues or escalating them appropriately.
2. Store Operations and Visual Merchandising
* Maintain Presentation: Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing, adhering to all Anker visual merchandising standards. This includes setting up displays, refreshing product arrangement, and restocking shelves.
* Inventory Management: Assist with receiving, checking, and processing new stock, ensuring accurate inventory counts, and reporting discrepancies.
* Point of Sale (POS): Efficiently and accurately process sales, returns, exchanges, and gift card purchases using the POS system.
3. Teamwork and Compliance
* Contribute to Team Success: Work collaboratively with the Store Manager and other team members to create a positive and high-performing work environment.
* Adhere to Policies: Follow all company policies and procedures related to cash handling, security, health and safety, and data protection.
* Flexibility: Be available to work a flexible schedule, as hours are not guaranteed and are based on store needs, particularly during busy seasons (e.g., holidays, promotional events).
Key Skills and Qualifications
* Experience: Previous experience in a retail sales or customer service role is highly desirable, especially within the electronics or technology sector.
* Communication: Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to explain technical concepts simply and persuasively.
* Product Passion: A genuine interest in technology, consumer electronics, and the Anker product range.
* Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, and highly motivated with a strong work ethic.
* Flexibility: Ability to work a casual schedule, including weekends, nights, and public holidays, on an as-needed basis.
* Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move moderate weights (up to 15kg) of stock and display materials.
