About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for Registered Nurses with a passion for the best possible patient care who would like the opportunity to support the Emergency Department (ED) with their experience in the space. You will triage, treat and transfer patients, provide ALS, cannulation and venepunctures as required. If you enjoy the fast pace and variety of Emergency Nursing, we want to hear from you.
You will receive a thorough orientation process including supernumerary days and support from Clinical Nurse Educators and the Nurse Unit Manager. The team in ED is welcoming, supportive and collaborative, and staff are encouraged to pursue ongoing professional development.
Safe staffing levels will ensure patient care is delivered safely and effectively, with staff feeling supported to provide the best outcomes, maintain patient safety and contribute to a positive and sustainable work environment.
Responsibilities
- Triaging patients in the ED.
- Treating and transferring patients.
- Providing Advanced Life Support (ALS).
- Performing cannulation and venepunctures as required.
- Participating in orientation and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA.
- All overseas candidates seeking sponsorship must have registration with AHPRA and a positive skills assessment via ANMAC with specialty/code Registered Nurse (Critical Care and Emergency) before applying.
- To be eligible for permanent employment you must be an Australian Citizen, a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current Recent Zealand Passport. Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable local candidate is identified; in that instance employment will be subject to visa conditions and expiry date.
