The Strategic Executive Assistant to the CEO plays a pivotal role in supporting the CEO, Board, and Executive Leadership Team by driving the strategic plan, vision, and operations of the organisation. This position goes beyond traditional administration to deliver high-level strategic, governance, and executive support, ensuring seamless coordination across all areas of leadership, board, and ministerial engagement.
Responsibilities:
Provide high-level executive and strategic support to the CEO, Board, and Executive Leadership Team.
Coordinate the implementation, monitoring, and reporting of the Strategic Plan and support alignment with organisational vision and goals.
Assist with the preparation and facilitation of Board meetings, including agenda development, papers, briefings, minutes, and follow-up actions.
Support the CEO in managing Ministerial meetings and high-level external stakeholder engagement, including correspondence, briefs, and presentations.
Manage executive-level scheduling, strategic diary planning, and preparation for internal and external commitments.
Prepare and coordinate complex reports, proposals, and high-level documents to inform strategic and operational decision-making.
Oversee corporate systems and processes, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and continuous quality improvement across executive operations.
Act as a key point of contact for Board members, external stakeholders, and government representatives, exercising discretion and professionalism.
Work in close collaboration with the Executive Assistant to ensure seamless support of the CEO and Executive Leadership Team.
Uphold governance, compliance, and confidentiality standards across all executive and board operations.
Support HR, WHS, and quality documentation requirements where they intersect with executive and strategic functions.
Essential Criteria:

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a strategic, executive, or high-level administration role supporting senior leadership or boards.
Strong knowledge of corporate governance, strategic planning, and executive operations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft board papers, ministerial briefs, and high-level correspondence.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to navigate multiple software systems.
Demonstrated organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a high-pressure environment.
Proven ability to work with discretion, integrity, and confidentiality in handling sensitive and executive-level matters.
Current National Criminal Check, NSW Working with Children’s Check, and NSW Driver’s Licence.
Desirable Criteria:
Qualifications in Business, Management, or Governance.
Demonstrated understanding of corporate and financial governance principles.
Knowledge of the not-for-profit sector and its strategic and operational challenges.
Proficiency in data management, reporting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making
