Social Sciences and Social Work Professional
The role of the Senior Work Integrated Learning Officer is to coordinate the placement of students in professional work environments within the disciplines of Social Sciences and Social Work. The officer will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to identify and negotiate suitable placements, ensuring that all government and accreditation requirements are met.
This position requires a strong understanding of the social sciences and social work fields, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be able to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external, and provide high-level support to the team in the planning, sourcing and organisation of placements.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
* Managing the WIL Social Sciences and Social Work team in the planning, sourcing and organisation of placements
* Arranging placements for students according to required criteria and circumstances, ensuring a high level of professionalism
* Taking responsibility for their placement discipline portfolio by identifying and negotiating suitable professional work placements and ensuring all government and accreditation requirements are met on time
* Developing and maintaining relationships with UNSW internal stakeholders in the coordination, support and facilitation of student placements
