Workfast is currently seeking an experienced Estimator to join a well-established and growing civil contractor delivering major Transport & Main Roads (TMR), local council roadworks, and subdivision projects across North Queensland.

This is a full-time permanent opportunity suited to an estimator who has strong experience pricing TMR road projects, council infrastructure works, and residential or industrial subdivisions, and who thrives in a fast-paced civil construction environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Prepare accurate and competitive tenders for TMR, council road, and subdivision projects
* Review drawings, specifications, and contract documentation
* Conduct quantity take-offs and cost estimates
* Obtain and analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations
* Develop construction methodologies and pricing strategies
* Identify project risks and opportunities during tender phase
* Prepare tender submissions, schedules, and supporting documentation
* Liaise with project managers, engineers, and senior leadership
* Assist with post-award handover to delivery teams
Requirements
* Proven experience estimating TMR road projects, council roadworks, and subdivision developments
* Strong understanding of TMR specifications and local government requirements
* Minimum 5+ years' experience as an Estimator within civil construction
* Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline (preferred)
* Excellent knowledge of road construction methodologies and cost structures
* Strong analytical, commercial, and negotiation skills
* Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Current Driver's Licence
* White Card and relevant safety training
