About the role:
We are seeking Platform Engineers with strong infrastructure and containerisation expertise to support the deployment and sustainment of secure platforms on ICT nodes. The role requires experience in Kubernetes/OpenShift, systems administration, and secure network deployment.
This varied role oversees a range of technology and will take on tasks including:
* Operate and sustain Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters, supporting orchestration, containerisation, patching, and compliance.
* Assist in the deployment of platforms onto ICT nodes, including network configuration, security, and accreditation support.
* Administer Linux and Windows systems, plus VMware and virtual infrastructure.
* Perform hardware and network‑level tasks (racking, cabling, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, firewall basics).
* Apply Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) and GitOps workflows to manage platform configuration.
* Implement monitoring, observability, and vulnerability scanning (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, SonarQube, Trivy).
* Manage secrets and identity platforms (Vault, KMS, Keycloak).
* Document architecture, security controls, and operational procedures.
About you:
* Current (or eligible for) NV1 security clearance (must be an Australian citizen).
* Proven expertise with Kubernetes/OpenShift orchestration and containerisation.
* Systems administration experience (Linux, Windows, VMware, storage).
* Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals to support secure platform deployment.
* Experience with monitoring, logging, and vulnerability scanning tools.
* Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) and Git/GitOps workflows.

Due to a requirement to be eligible for NV1 security clearance, Australian Citizenship is required.
