— a joint venture between LifeFlight Australia, and Linfox group —delivers specialist helicopter operations for Medical Transport, Search and Rescue, Aerial Law enforcement, and Aerial firefighting across Australia. Our skilled crews and state-of-the-art aircraft operate to the highest safety and performance standards possible, ensuring vital missions are carried out with precision, professionalism, and care.

About the Role

Our team is growing, and we are seeking Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to join us at our Hobart / Cambridge Airport Facility supporting the StarFlight Australia Aeromedical, SAR and Air Law Enforcement operations for the people and State of Tasmania.

Working an 7/7 roster, reporting to the Senior Base Engineer (SBE) you will be responsible for ground handling, supporting stores general housekeeping, conducting assigned planned and unplanned maintenance activities as assigned working initially on B412 before transitioning to a new fleet of H145-D3 Helicopters:

* Assist in role change overs of aircraft as required
* Ensure Facilities are compliant to AMO MOE and Regulatory standards
* Support and complete ground handling requirements and washing of aircraft
* Assist Stores when required
* Aircraft Inspections:
scheduled and unscheduled inspections of aircraft systems, structures, and components to ensure airworthiness and compliance with regulations.
* Aircraft Maintenance and Repair:
Executing maintenance tasks, repairs, and replacements of aircraft parts and systems.
* Aircraft Documentation:
Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspection reports, repair logs, and compliance documentation, to ensure regulatory compliance and traceability

* Aircraft Troubleshooting:
Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and avionics issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
* Collaboration:
Working closely with other departments to ensure the maintenance personnel, pilots, and regulatory authorities to coordinate maintenance activities and address safety concerns.

About You

Your approach to safety, attention to detail and adherence to regulatory standards and company procedures are essential in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our aircraft documentation. You will also possess the following qualifications, skills and experience:

* Trade Qualification in Aircraft Maintenance - Mandatory
* B412 Experience (desirable)
* H145-D3 Experience (desirable)
* Non-Type rated LAME FW or RW will also be considered
* Willingness to learn and upskill from AME or non-Type rated LAME over time to hold operational Types as a LAME
* Full-time working rights in Australia - Mandatory
* Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft systems, components, and their maintenance requirements.
* Familiarity with aviation regulatory requirements and standards, particularly regarding airworthiness and maintenance control.
* An understanding of company policies and procedures (MOE and SMS)
* Basic computer literacy
* Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within a team
* Be practical and resourceful with demonstrated organisational and problem-solving skills
* Be resourceful with a can-do attitude
