About the Team

The Aged Care Transition Team supports clients moving from independent living into permanent aged care. We provide financial administration and legal oversight to protect their assets and entitlements, ensuring a smooth, secure transition with a focus on compassion, compliance, and informed decisions.

About the Role

As a Personal Financial Consultant, you will manage the financial and legal affairs of clients who have been appointed to State Trustees via VCAT. You will play a key part in helping vulnerable Victorians by providing high-quality financial administration during their transition into aged care.

This role is not a support or carer role, it is a client-facing business administration role that involves regular communication with aged care providers, families, legal representatives, and financial institutions.

You'll be responsible for managing client files end-to-end, analysing financial options, administering assets, preparing correspondence and reports, and making decisions that support your clients' wellbeing and financial interests.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who combines professional empathy with sharp attention to detail, and who thrives in a structured, process-driven environment. You will need:

* Strong administration experience with a high degree of accuracy
* Experience handling financial or legal documentation (e.g. invoices, contracts, statements)
* Comfortable working with regulated processes and decision-making frameworks
* Professional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft letters and reports
* Proven ability to work directly with clients, families and service providers
* Financial case management experience or financial literacy (e.g. budgeting, fee analysis, pensions/benefits)
* Confidence using Microsoft Office and internal recordkeeping systems
* Familiarity with aged care, disability services or working with vulnerable clients (highly desirable)
* Knowledge of public sector entitlements or aged care fee structures (highly desirable)
