As a Porter, you play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences at our hotel. You are responsible for providing assistance with luggage, offering information about the hotel and local attractions, and ensuring that guests' needs are met promptly and professionally. Your friendly demeanor, excellent communication skills, and ability to anticipate and address guests' needs contribute to creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for our guests.
You will work closely with other members of the hotel team to uphold our high standards of hospitality.
Your main responsibilities:
-Greet guests upon arrival and off er assistance with luggage handling and transportation.
-Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
-Orientate guests with inquiries, requests, and reservations, to the front desk team.
-Coordinate with other hotel staff, including front desk personnel and housekeeping, to ensure seamless guest experiences.
-Maintain cleanliness and organization in luggage storage areas and other guest service areas.
-Monitor and respond to guest feedback and requests promptly and professionally.
-Escort guests to their rooms and familiarize them with room amenities and features, if needed.
-Coordinate transportation arrangements for guests.
-Uphold the hotel's standards of professionalism, integrity, and guest confidentiality at all times.
What we are looking for in the candidate:
 * A minimum of 1-2 years in a customer service environment
 * Familiarity with Melbourne locations and hotspots
 * Excellent communication and time management skills
 * Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends & public holidays - morning / afternoon / evening
 * Proactive, enthusiastic, and thrives in a dynamic environment.
 * Positive, can-do mindset
This role requires colleagues to work in an active work environment, where manual handling tasks will be required.
