Fresh Catering & Events is a premium corporate/event caterer and production kitchen based in Osborne Park.
We are currently looking to recruit a qualified and experienced pastry chef to fully support the operation, the expansion and the precise detail of the day to day running of the pastry section with a view to growing this area significantly.
To take what we have developed and run with it as we service our catering & event clients and our contract cafe clients. We specialise in Gluten Free and Dairy Free baking - the learning being that application to all techniques can be applied to this type of baking and pastry.
The role offers flexibility in that this is primarily a casual role. The role is over 3-4 days a
week, approx. 20-24 Hours.
Key Responsibilities
Always have a neat personal appearance with a high level of personal hygiene. You represent the company at all times.
Organisation and production of all pastry products.
Gluten, Dairy & Refined Sugar Free Recipes are provided.
Work autonomously and in-hand with the team.
Contribute to the design and implementation of products for the cafe retail, wholesale and catering range.
Keep up to date with recipe software input.
Willing to help everyone in the kitchen as it's needed - all hands on deck calls are exactly that. One team.
Dish washing & general cleaning of kitchen area.
Experience with ordering and stock management & cost control.
Thrive on our purpose and initiate the development of all people.
Skills & Experience
Experience in a similar role is essential.
Have a valid WA drivers licence.
Clear & strong spoken English.
Be physically fit and be capable of lifting up to 15Kgs.
Harmonious approach to teamwork and support of others.

Excellent time management and multitasking skills to handle the demands of a fast-paced kitchen.
A valid right to work in Australia visa.
A current Police Check (National Police Certificate) for employment.
A current Australian Drivers Licence.
