About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and friendly team member to join our busy fish and chips shop. This role involves cooking on the grill and fryers, serving customers, and handling phone orders. You'll be part of a fast-paced environment where teamwork and customer service are key.
Key Responsibilities
* Operating grills and fryers safely and efficiently
* Preparing and cooking menu items
* Serving customers in-store in a friendly and professional manner
* Answering phone calls and taking accurate takeaway orders
* Handling cash and EFTPOS transactions
* Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen, service areas, and equipment
* Following food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in a takeaway, hospitality, or kitchen role is preferred but not essential
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Willingness to learn and follow instructions
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
* Availability to work weekends and peak periods
