About the Role We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior National Payroll Officer to be based in our Head Office at Eastern Creek. The successful candidate will play an integral role working with an experienced Payroll Controller to ensure an effective payroll service across a number of employing entities and pay cycles. Major responsibilities include; End-to-end payroll processing for high-volume payrolls in a multi pay period (weekly and monthly), and multi employing entity environment. Act as the first point of escalation for payroll enquiries, ensuring timely and professional responses. Managing new starters, masterfile changes, terminations & redundancy payments Assist in the reconciliation and submission of national payroll tax liability. Ensure timely remittance of superannuation and PAYG payments. Continually review internal processes to improve accuracy and ensure timeliness of the delivery of payroll services. Ensure the maintenance of confidential employee records. Provide regular reporting on various payroll activities, hours paid, costings, etc. Provide as requested, reports to senior management About You Ideally you will have 5 years' end-to-end payroll experience Experience using UKG / Kronos payroll and time and attendance software (preferred but not essential) Great interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to interpret legislation relevant to taxation, superannuation, workers compensation and modern awards. Be computer literate in Microsoft Office programs, especially MS Excel Ability to work within strict deadlines and reporting time frames.
