Department Manager
JD Sports is a leading sports fashion retailer with over 3,400 stores worldwide. We are seeking a Department Manager to lead a store department and deliver exceptional customer service.
THE ROLE
This role is rostered from Tuesday to Saturday with varying shift times. By applying, you confirm your availability to work on these days.
Responsibilities
* Model exceptional customer service for every customer, every time.
* Coach the department team to deliver exceptional service and a “service over task” environment.
* Actively gain, maintain and share product and brand knowledge within the department.
* Support the management team in improving financial performance within the department.
* Collaborate with the back‑of‑house team to ensure product availability.
* Uphold company standards and deliver store visual excellence.
Required Experience & Skills
* 2–3 years of leadership experience within retail or a related industry.
* Passion for delivering an outstanding customer service experience.
* Positive attitude with the ability to motivate the team.
* Proven track record of driving and exceeding KPIs and effective communication with stakeholders.
* Excellent time‑management skills to execute daily priorities on time.
* Thrives in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment.
* Desire to develop personal career and learn new skills.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills and enjoyment of engaging with customers and team members.
