The role of Associate Nurse Unit Manager - Correctional Primary Health Services requires an experienced nurse to work in partnership with senior staff to ensure efficient and effective provision of care based on best practice principles within a collaborative framework.
Key responsibilities include assisting the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) and/or Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) with planning and management of staff and resources, providing operational leadership through coordination of day-to-day patient care activities, including patient flow.
To be successful in this role, applicants must have demonstrated clinical experience in relevant practice area, capacity to provide clinical leadership, exercise professional judgement and initiative, and work with minimal supervision.
Applicants should also have demonstrated ability to understand business of unit/service in delivering best outcomes within available resources, including understanding of patient flow principles and discharge planning in pursuit of patient/client goals within contemporary healthcare framework.
This position offers a unique opportunity for experienced nurses to contribute to evaluation, innovation, and development of services provided by unit/service and review of clinical practice policy, procedures, and protocols.
Multiple permanent full-time shift-worker positions are available, working up to 76 hours per fortnight. Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023.
