Role : Network Engineer
Location : Canberra
The Role
You will be working for one of the leading networking client based Canberra. This role involves overseeing, managing, and advising customers on product and service offerings. This role requires to work on a 24/7 shift roster.
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Network Engineer and want the larger range of experience working in a gateway environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Change Management, including the preparation and implementation of Changes on a number of Gateway
* Device configurations - routers, firewalls, proxy's DNS servers and load Balancers
* Incident Resolution -assist customers to troubleshoot/diagnose un-intended network traffic issues
* Monitor and action Health Alerts generated
* Performing a Service Desk type function, consisting of the allocation and prioritization of tickets based on SLA
* Managing internal and external communications
* Responding to customer requests via email/phone calls
Skills & Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology
* 3+ years of experience as Network Engineer/Infrastructure/ Network operations roles
* Experience working with Linux, DNS, Firewalls, F5, VMware, Proxies and Email Gateway appliances
* NV1 Security clearance or Baseline Security Clearance
* Willingness to work on 24x 7 rotating shift schedule
