They will support Security Operations cyber-infrastructure to continually improve, innovate and adapt emerging opportunities to improve cyber prevention, detection and response capabilities.
They will provide subject matter expertise to team members and advice to senior management, lead development or support activities within a team environment, and use monitoring and management tools to inform performance tuning, availability, and capacity planning.
Responsibilities Establishing and documenting relevant database queries to enhance reporting and uplift Security Operations requirements Develop and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for data elements and tables in the company.
Identify and implement database requirements for new or existing applications by working collaboratively with other teams.
Implement and optimise cross cluster MS SQL database replication Optimise database performance and efficiency by evaluating, recommending and uplifting existing database technologies.
Support users and developers by resolving data-related technical issues and troubleshooting queries by guiding them with best practices.
Support regular database maintenance tasks, including database defragmentation, backups, database replication monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting issues.
Execute disaster recovery plans and procedures to ensure database availability during system outages or dysfunction.
Mandatory Skills/Experience General Microsoft SQL Server administration and MS SQL Database skills General Microsoft Server administration skills Experience in integrating, documenting MS SQL database cross cluster replication to support highly available data tables Experience in providing advice and implementing efficiencies to existing MS SQL table indexes Experience in automating MS SQL data ingestion (preferably through scripting language such as Python/bash/PowerShell) Prefer relevant database administration certifications such as Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team 2+ years of Windows and MS SQL support experience Why Fujitsu?
