The Concrete Institute of Australia is an independent not-for-profit professional association providing technical resources, educational seminars and courses, networking events, and industry collaboration opportunities for the professional development of members who share a common interest in the pursuit of excellence in research, innovation, technology, design, construction and sustainability of concrete in Australia.
Based in Crows Nest, Sydney, NSW, and with a national focus, the CIA plays a pivotal role in connecting members and industry stakeholders from all sectors within the concrete construction industry, providing a forum to share knowledge and experiences for the benefit of all.

About the Role
To meet the growing demands of industry with respect to professional development, training, resources, and modern learning platforms, the Concrete Institute of Australia has an opening for a Professional Development Coordinator.
The role is responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of the organisation's professional education activities. This role supports the growth and engagement of members through high-quality events, seminars, workshops, webinars, programs and resources that align with the Institute's strategic goals.
The Professional Development Coordinator will need to collaborate with members and stakeholders to identify professional development needs, and work closely with CIA staff, committees, and external facilitators. The role ensures that CIA programs are relevant, well-managed, and deliver value to members and stakeholders.
The role will cover all aspects related to -
* The planning, development, and coordination of seminars, training programs, workshops, and educational resources that are relevant to the organisation.
* Source learning management systems and other tools to enhance the delivery and accessibility of training.
* Work with affiliate organisations, industry leaders, trainers, distributors and training providers to enhance program offerings.
* Organise and manage logistics, schedule, and communications for events.
* Manage and support the Institute's National Education committee and Technical Publications committees.
* Project manage sub-committees formed to develop and/or review educational and technical publication resources.
Qualifications & Skills
* Relevant qualifications and 2 to 5 years' experience in running professional development, courses, and education programs.
* Computer literacy in MS Office programs and experience and familiarity with modern learning and knowledge sharing and webinar platforms.
* Familiarity with the dynamics of membership based organisations.
* Project development and management skills.
* High level interpersonal and communication skills.
* Experience delivering face-to-face and online presentations and course materials.
* Demonstrated ability to work with a range of key stakeholders to achieve planned project results.
* A team player with a 'can do' attitude and ability to multi-task.
* Experience and/or understanding of the concrete industry a plus but not essential.
It is preferred that the role be based in Sydney, but this can be flexible for the right candidate.
