Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Health, Safety and Environmental team. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing site-wide HSE systems that align with regulatory and compliance standards.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the development of a world-class safety culture. You will work closely with our senior leadership team to develop and implement site-wide HSE systems, drive risk management and incident response, and oversee training programs and audits.
Main Responsibilities
* Develop and implement site-wide HSE systems aligned with regulatory and compliance standards
* Drive risk management and incident response
* Oversee training programs and audits
* Mentor teams and embed safety as a core operational value
Key Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* 8+ years of experience in HSE leadership (mining/construction/heavy industry)
* Diploma/Degree in OHS/Environmental Science or related field
* Expertise in NSW legislation, incident investigation (ICAM), and risk management
* Proven ability to implement Safety Management Systems
* Strong stakeholder engagement and training skills

We are expanding a high-grade operation in scenic regional NSW with 10+ year mine life and first production in 2025. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build a safety culture from the ground up and work with a Tier-1 mentorship team who have delivered B+ projects.
