Client: A leading, large-scale Australian retailer is seeking an enterprise-calibre GM Commercial to partner with the CFO and Executive Leadership Team in shaping and delivering the next phase of commercial growth, strategic evolution and finance transformation. The Role: Reporting directly to the CFO, you will provide drive operational excellence and deliver measurable business impact across the organisation. This role blends commercial insight, strategic influence, governance rigour and transformation leadership at scale. You will: Partner with senior leaders to define, assess and execute enterprise strategy Lead long-range financial planning and corporate modelling Oversee capital allocation and investment governance Drive enterprise-wide performance across a multi-site network Lead a significant finance function spanning planning, commercial finance, control, transformation and transactional operations In addition, you will lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, establishing robust people practices, governance, and accountability across the function. Your ability to translate complex operational data into actionable insights will be critical in supporting executive decisions and delivering sustainable business outcomes. Ideally: 10 years’ experience in senior finance leadership roles Experience in multi-site retail, FMCG or similarly complex consumer environments Deep expertise in commercial finance, FP&A and capital governance Demonstrated success leading transformation and ERP implementation Strong executive presence with experience presenting to Boards CA/CPA qualification (MBA advantageous) Why: This is a senior role with significant impact on the long-term success of the business.
