The opportunity

As our Communications Business Partner, you'll provide strategic and operational advice and support across a variety of business areas, designing and delivering audience focused communications that are easy to understand and accessible to all. We need your proven experience and support to develop and deliver communications plans and campaigns across a range of channels and answer regular media enquiries.
With a dispersed workforce of over 500 people and 60 business areas, it's a unique role giving you broad exposure across a myriad of sectors. Your work days will be varied with no two days the same – from researching and writing an engaging media release to filming, editing and sharing a video on social media to promote the many Council services.
This is a 12 month opportunity, working up to 35 hours each week.

* Base Salary Range: $77,355 - $91,003 pa based on 35 hours / week + 12% superannuation + retention allowance
* You will be working from PSC Administration Building, Raymond Terrace

* A degree qualification in communications, marketing, media, or a related field
* Extensive understanding of media management and contemporary media landscape
* Extensive knowledge of social media and it's applications, and potential future directions
* Demonstrated competence using Adobe Creative Suite
