2. Salary based on experience, range: $74,920 - $96,952 (pro rata) plus super

About the role:
In this role, you will provide reference and research services to Victoria Legal Aid staff and the public, using print and online resources. You will assist with the ongoing evaluation and improvement of library services. You will also assist with other library functions, as part of a small, high-functioning team.
About Legal Practice:
Legal Practice provides a central point for whole-of-practice support and is the central point of contact for private practitioners, VLA lawyers and Community Legal Centre lawyers. Legal Practice's responsibilities include developing and supporting a quality legal practice, training and practice support, and the administration of the legal assistance scheme under the Legal Aid Act.
About you:
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
4. Client service - A strong commitment to client service and ability to interpret complex client information needs. Experience in the provision of excellent library reference and research services using a range of materials. Commitment to process improvement and innovation in service delivery.
5. Technical skills - Well developed cataloguing skills and the ability to process a range of library materials. A working knowledge of library classification and indexing principles and systems, and experience with library management systems.
6. Promotions - Knowledge and experience in promotional activities centred around the provision of a reference and research service.
7. Training - Demonstrated ability to deliver information skills and legal research training programs.
