3 Minds QLD is looking for dedicated, compassionate, and energetic Support Workers to join our growing team.
This role is ideal for experienced workers who are confident supporting children and young adults with complex needs, including non-verbal communication, challenging behaviours, and high-support requirements.
Availability Required
Monday to Friday – 6:00am to 6:00pm
Before and after school availability is essential
Additional availability outside school hours is highly beneficial
Casual shift coverage with opportunity for regular hours
What You'll Do
Empower individuals to live independently and confidently
Provide day-to-day support in home, community, and centre-based settings
Support participants who may be non-verbal or minimally verbal
Implement Positive Behaviour Support Plans
Safely manage challenging behaviours and restrictive practices (where authorised)
Build meaningful relationships and create positive, lasting change
Work both independently and as part of a supportive team
Who You'll Be Supporting
Participants may have:
Autism (ASD)
ADHD
Epilepsy
Complex communication needs
Emotional regulation challenges
High support and supervision requirements
What We're Looking For
A caring attitude and strong can-do mindset
Experience working with children and/or young adults with disabilities
Confidence supporting non-verbal participants (AAC, visuals, behavioural cues)
Proven experience with complex behaviours and restrictive practices
Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills
Ability to remain calm, professional, and proactive
Mandatory Requirements
Current Driver's Licence
Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Working With Children Check (Blue Card)
First Aid & CPR
Ability to complete clear support notes and incident reports

Job Type: Casual
Pay: $37.73 – $45.58 per hour
