Job Description
About the Team
Join a dynamic team delivering a major transformation program in Western Australia. Our group brings together experts in change management, communications, and project delivery to support a large-scale learning initiative impacting thousands of users. You’ll collaborate with a diverse, high-performing team focused on innovative solutions, effective communication, and successful project outcomes. This is an opportunity to contribute to a significant program with real impact, working alongside professionals committed to excellence and continuous improvement.
About the Role
We’re seeking a strategic and creative Communications and Content Specialist to lead the communications and engagement approach for the rollout of a new Learning Managed Service (LMS). This role is central to building awareness, generating interest, and supporting adoption of a new training platform and suite of learning experiences designed to uplift workforce capability over the long term.
As a Senior Consultant, you’ll work closely with stakeholders to develop and implement a targeted communications and engagement plan that drives understanding and enthusiasm for the learning transformation. You’ll bring strong storytelling, stakeholder engagement, and campaign delivery skills to ensure the LMS is embraced across the organisation.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract role based exclusively in Perth, where you’ll collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to bring this major change initiative to life.
Your Opportunity
As the Communications and Content Specialist, you will:
* Develop and execute a communications and engagement strategy to support the phased rollout of the LMS.
* Design and create a range of content and collateral that communicates value and drives action – including emails, posters, user guides, brochures, launch videos, social copy, digital signage, newsletter content and more.
* Tailor messaging to multiple audience groups – from frontline staff to senior leaders.
* Select and manage appropriate communications channels to maximise reach and impact, from internal platforms and newsletters to live briefings and roadshows.
* Bring a creative lens to every brief, helping the initiative stand out and drive lasting impact.
* Track and report on engagement outcomes to measure success and refine messaging as needed.
Experience:
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
* Demonstrated experience in communications, content development, and campaign delivery – ideally within transformation, learning and development, or change management environments.
* Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear, engaging, and audience-specific content across multiple formats.
* 2–3 years of experience in communications, content creation, or a writing-focused role.
* Experience producing a wide range of creative assets, including brochures, posters, handbooks, infographics, and digital content.
* Proficiency with Canva and other design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) for developing visual content (desirable).
* Familiarity with internal communications channels such as Teams, newsletters, press releases, and live briefings.
* A portfolio of previous work showcasing your ability to create impactful communications and content (highly desirable).
* Experience working in or with the public sector or on large-scale programs (desirable but not essential).
* A creative approach to campaign development – whether through videos, infographics, email series, QR codes or town hall presentations.
* Understanding of how to build trust and relevance across different stakeholder groups.
