An exciting leadership opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Competitions Manager to join our Ekka team.
As the second-in-charge to the Head of Competitions & Exhibition Sales, you will lead the planning, delivery and performance of competitions across all portfolios, while managing your own. You will provide direction, oversight and support to the team to ensure competitions are delivered to a consistently high standard, on time and on budget.
Taking a whole-of-show approach, you will play a key role in driving improvements across competitions, enhancing stakeholder engagement, and elevating the overall exhibitor and guest experience.
This is a Permanent Full-Time position commencing immediately.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee the delivery of competitions across multiple portfolios, ensuring a high standard of quality, consistency and presentation
* Manage your own competition portfolio while providing guidance and support to the broader team
* Oversee budgets, track expenditure and identify opportunities to improve financial performance and value
* Build and maintain strong relationships with committees, stakeholders and industry representatives
* Provide clear leadership, coaching and day-to-day direction to drive team performance and outcomes
* Ensure all competitions meet compliance, safety and regulatory requirements
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and delivery
* Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the Ekka by enhancing competitions and the overall exhibitor experience
Skills and Experience
Although not essential, the following will be highly regarded:
* Experience in major events, agricultural shows, exhibitions or similar environments
* Demonstrated experience in team leadership or senior coordination roles
* Strong background in event planning, operations or project management
* Experience managing budgets and multiple stakeholders
