We are expanding our Behaviour Support team and are seeking experienced and dynamic Behaviour Support Practitioners eager to be part of a multidisciplinary team and make a difference. You will bring expertise, maturity, and strong time management and organisational skills.
Successful candidates will support NDIS participants in areas including Tamworth, Watsons Creek, Upper Manilla, Gunnedah, Wallabadah, and surrounding areas.
This role offers the opportunity to be part of a wider multidisciplinary team supporting each other's challenges and successes. No two days are the same You might work in daycare centres, schools, homes, or on outreach trips to Gunnedah and surrounds. We also host monthly Wellness Walks by the river, supporting our regional community.
You will support vulnerable community members by acting as an advocate and role model. Your daily responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting NDIS participants, along with their families and carers, to identify needs through assessment and person-centred planning.
2. Evaluating, developing, and delivering evidence-based support plans within complex support settings.
3. Developing meaningful goals and practical strategies using a positive behaviour support framework, committed to eliminating restrictive practices, in home and community settings.
4. Ensuring individual plans reflect participants' goals, passions, and strengths.
5. Building the knowledge, capacity, and strengths of those supporting participants, including family, carers, and friends.
6. Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring less experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners.

To be considered, you should have:
* Current suitability confirmed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission at the Core or Proficient level as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.
* Experience in mentoring and supervising other Behaviour Support Practitioners.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills for managing a varied caseload.
* A proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and learning from new ideas.
* A genuine passion for working in the disability sector.
