The Role
Plexus is rebuilding the way enterprise legal teams work — AI-first. Our engineering squad is small, sharp, and shipping fast. We need a senior, hands‐on technical leader to raise the bar.
This isn't a management track. You'll lead through code, architecture, and the energy you bring to the squad. You'll ship every week. You'll set the standard others follow.
The work? Pulling a fragmented platform into one product. Building AI agents that take legal work off lawyers' plates. You'll help shape the Legal Operating System we're building.
What you'll do
* Ship code every week — this role is hands‐on by design
* Lead architectural decisions across the stack — backend, frontend, infrastructure
* Review and shape every meaningful PR — set the bar the squad codes to
* Use AI tools daily — and push the squad to do the same
* Lift the engineering team's energy and quality by what you build, not what you say
* Help unify a fragmented platform into one product
What we're looking for Non‐Negotiables
* You've led at the squad level and you still ship code daily
* AI writes the code in your daily workflow
* You're language‐agnostic and comfortable across multiple clouds (AWS plus GCP or Azure)
* Energy, Positivity, Pragmatism
Ideal but flexible
* B2B SaaS background at a startup or scale‐up, where ownership is assumed
* Experience leading squads through ambiguity or rapid change
* Visible code — GitHub, open source, technical writing, talks
