Adolescent Medicine Specialist
About the Opportunity We have an exciting opening for a Clinical Nurse to join our Paediatric Medicine team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering specialist clinical care across adolescent medicine outpatient services, including eating disorders, gender diversity, adolescent transition, and complex medical clinics.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of therapeutic interventions and support programs for young people and their families.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of adolescents.
* Lead and support clinical education by mentoring junior staff, facilitating student learning, and contributing to a positive team culture.
* Contribute to service improvement through research, clinical audits, and protocol development, while supporting change and innovation in adolescent health services.
About You To succeed in this role, you must possess:
* A Registered Nurse qualification from the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, with a current practicing certificate.
* Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
* Minimum 3 years' post-registration experience, with demonstrated competence in adolescent health care.
* Proven ability to mentor junior staff and support student learning within a multidisciplinary team.
* Sound knowledge of healthcare legislation, quality improvement systems, and current clinical best practices.
