JOB DESCRIPTION
Are you a creative, commercially sharp sourcing professional ready to step up? Join a high‑performing procurement team where you'll own and influence category strategy across our Retail, Food & Dairy supply channels.
We're seeking someone who is strong in procurement fundamentals, thrives in fast‑moving supply environments, and brings true end‑to‑end sourcing experience — from market scanning through to negotiation, tenders, scope of work, supplier onboarding and performance management.
Perfect for an experienced Category Specialist, Sourcing Specialist, or an Assistant Category Buyer ready for the next progression.
Key Responsibilities
Own the end‑to‑end sourcing process: market research, vendor identification, tendering, evaluation, negotiation, and implementation.
Identify and unlock direct supply opportunities across domestic and international markets.
Lead negotiations across multiple retail and food categories.
Manage supplier relationships, performance reviews and continuous improvement.
Conduct financial modelling, cost/volume forecasting and post‑tender analysis.
Align supplier logistics, warehousing and inventory processes with Civeo's operating model.
Support procurement governance and standardised procurement methodologies.
Perform supply market intelligence, commodity assessments and category spend analysis.
Ensure all health, safety, quality and environmental requirements are met.
Qualifications
Ideally, tertiary qualifications in business/commerce.
Demonstratable experience in procurement, supply chain or category management- retail, food and dairy categories are highly advantageous.
Experience in large corporate or multi‑category environments, preferably from petroleum, grocery, convenience or hospitality sectors.
Skills And Experience
Experience across Retail, FMCG, Convenience, Dairy, Food Services or Commodities
Exposure to fast‑paced category dynamics and commercial lever
Understanding of food sourcing, price movement and supplier ecosystems
Procurement capability & demonstrated end‑to‑end sourcing experience
Strong commercial acumen and negotiation strength
Contract knowledge
Experience with complex supply chains and multi‑site environments
Ability to build strong supplier and stakeholder relationships
