We're looking for a proactive, hands-on Maintenance Officer to join our friendly team at Gracehaven Aged Care Service.
What You'll Do
As our Maintenance Officer, you'll be the go-to person for keeping our site in great shape. You'll:
* Carry out general maintenance and repairs — from plumbing and carpentry to painting and fixing that annoying squeaky door.
* Keep our grounds looking fantastic — mowing, pruning, and maintaining gardens.
* Coordinate with contractors and occasionally guide other team members and volunteers.
* Stay on top of scheduled maintenance plans using our asset management system.
* Help ensure the safety and comfort of our residents and staff, every single day.
What You'll Bring
You're someone who:
* Has a trade qualification (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry).
* Knowledge of Work Health and Safety requirements, or ability to acquire with one month of employment.
* 12mths' experience in a handyman/maintenance role.
* Has experience in property maintenance, either in aged care, community housing, or a similar environment.
* Basic computer skills, including the ability to use Outlook and Internet Explorer.
* Can work independently but loves being part of a team.
* Brings a can-do attitude and genuine care for others.
* Holds a valid driver's licence, and relevant checks like a Police Clearance – or the ability to obtain.
