Overview
We are currently seeking a Procurement Officer and Administrator to support the maintenance, purchasing, and stores functions of CAF in NSW Regional (Dubbo) project. The role ensures efficient and effective delivery of high‐level administration services, cost control, budget management, and accurate inventory oversight. The position is based in Dubbo.
Responsibilities
* Maintain and update the Asset Management system (GMAO) including data entry, new suppliers, and RFQs.
* Control and audit all work order documentation, ensuring correct completion and storage to Australian standards.
* Attend and record minutes of Weekly Operations Management meetings.
* Prepare and follow up on purchase orders, including invoicing and accounts payable.
* Manage purchasing tasks within GMAO, oversee import shipment customs clearance, and coordinate export shipment customs clearance.
* Coordinate importing freight management and manage internal and external audit processes.
* Set up new suppliers following CAF's procurement processes and maintain supplier relationships.
* Requisition, purchase order, and invoice matching to maintain CAF Australia's purchasing and supply protocols.
* Perform other administrative tasks related to depot operations as directed by the Line Manager.
* Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with all Australian health, safety, quality, and environmental legislative requirements.
* Advise management on any changes in materials, plant, or processes that may impact safety, quality, or the environment, and propose improvements to advance CAF's performance.
* Other duties as directed based on your skills and experience.
Qualifications
* Diploma in Purchasing, Commerce, Logistics, or relevant work experience.
* Experience in purchase and customs clearance administrative work.
* Strong communication skills, attention to detail, ability to multi‐task, prioritise workload, and be self‐motivated.
* Proficiency in Excel, Word, and other office IT systems.
* English essential; Spanish beneficial but not required.
