Job Title

We are seeking a qualified Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team in providing high-quality support services to individuals with disabilities. Our ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be passionate about delivering exceptional care, and have a strong commitment to the well-being of our participants.



About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Behaviour Support Practitioner to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families across our community. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively to develop and implement individualized support plans that promote independence, choice, and overall quality of life.



Key Responsibilities


* Supporting NDIS participants and their families/carers to identify needs through assessment and person-centred planning

* Evaluating, developing, and delivering evidence-based support plans within complex support spaces

* Developing meaningful goals and practical strategies aligned with the positive behaviour support framework, with a focus on eliminating restrictive practices

* Ensuring individual plans reflect participants' goals, passions, and strengths

* Building knowledge, capacity, and strengths of those who support participants in their lives (family, carers, friends, etc.)

* Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring less experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners



Requirements


* Completed degree-level qualification as an allied health professional (desired)

* Report writing experience

* Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload

* Proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and the opportunity to test and learn from new ideas

* Genuine passion for working in the disability sector
