As part of a College strategic transformation program, the College structure houses three Research Schools - the John Curtin School of Medical Research; the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health (NCEPH) and the School of Medicine and Psychology (SMP).
The John Curtin School of Medical Research School Manager will ensure quality and consistency of service delivery through the provision of high-level administrative advice and support across our academic divisions, internal service units and research centres.
In addition to providing the Director and Division Heads with direct high-level support to implement strategic and operational plans, this role will:
- Support members of the School executive and leadership team with planning, budgeting, resource management and other operational matters along with external engagement activities.
- Lead the skilled support team.
- Lead business improvement and change processes.
- Coordinate high-level communication and information sharing.

- A strategic thinker, with a track record of developing and maintaining strong relationships.
- A collaborative team member with proven expertise in leading an administrative team in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience in the preparation of briefings, information papers, budget and other reports.
- Project management and/or business process improvement experience, with an ability to partner with colleagues to overcome complex matters in short timeframes.
- Knowledge and/or experience in the contemporary challenges facing the higher education sector.
