Job Title: Operational Nurse Unit Manager
Job Description:
This operational leadership role is responsible for the smooth operation of a Day Procedure Unit. As an Operational Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide direction to the department and work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to achieve organizational goals.
You will facilitate planning, implementing, and evaluating care in accordance with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards. This involves providing support to all members of the nursing team, acting as a role model and resource person within the clinical area.
Key responsibilities include rostering staff, relieving the NUM during periods of leave, and providing leadership and direction to the department to align with the strategic goals and operational processes of the unit and hospital.
As a leader, you will demonstrate a positive attitude, ability to prioritize, delegate, adapt, and manage time effectively.
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, this position holds a key leadership role that requires strong clinical skillset, experience, and leadership abilities.
The ideal candidate will be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, have a minimum of 2 years' experience in this role, and possess strong clinical skills.
