The Role
We're after someone who's passionate about food, thrives in a fast-paced team setting, and brings strong leadership and organisation skills to the table. You'll be overseeing the day-to-day running of the kitchen — from menu development to service — and mentoring a small but capable team.
Key responsibilities:
 * Develop seasonal menus that reflect our region and ethos
 * Oversee service and ensure consistent quality every time
 * Manage inventory, ordering, and relationships with suppliers
 * Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety standards
 * Lead, train, and support kitchen staff with clarity and respect
 * Costing dishes accurately to meet financial goals
 * Handle rosters, wages, and staffing logistics
 * Plan and deliver menus for private events and special functions
What You'll Bring
 * A trade qualification or equivalent experience
 * Background working in cafés environments
 * Proven experience in kitchen leadership
