What you'll be doing
As an Occupational Therapist in Community Paediatrics, you'll provide high-quality, evidence-based care to children and young people with developmental, neurological, and motor challenges. You will coordinate care, lead therapy interventions, and support both clients and colleagues.
* Assess and treat children up to 18 years using best practice OT approaches
* Manage referrals, intake lists, and allocation of therapy services
* Provide clinical supervision to OT staff and university students
* Lead case management meetings and collaborate with schools, preschools, and external agencies
* Maintain documentation to high standards while ensuring trauma-informed, culturally sensitive practice

Essential Criteria:
* Qualification: Recognised degree in Occupational Therapy
* Registration: Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria:
1. Recognised degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
2. Substantial post graduate experience in community based paediatric clinical contexts working with children with a range of clinical presentations including for children with neurodevelopmental concerns.
3. Demonstrated knowledge of the impact of psychosocial and mental health problems, violence, abuse and neglect on child development, parenting and parent-infant relationships.
4. Demonstrated experience and ability in professional and clinical supervision of staff.
5. Demonstrated skill to work in partnership with families to provide effective intervention for children within a limited session model.

7. Experience working effectively with families from differing psychosocial, socioeconomic and /or culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds in a trauma informed manner.
8. Current drivers licence valid in Australia and the willingness to use for work purposes and work flexibility at varying sites across the district.
