Job Description:
As a Pet Crematory Office, Preparation Attendant, and Driver, you will fulfill a multifaceted role crucial to the smooth functioning of our pet crematory facility. This position encompasses administrative responsibilities, hands-on tasks related to preparing deceased pets for cremation, and transportation duties. You will serve as a compassionate point of contact for grieving pet owners, manage office operations, ensure the respectful handling of deceased pets, and facilitate the safe and timely transportation of animals to and from the crematory facility. Full manual driver's license is a must.

Responsibilities:

* Greet pet owners and visitors with empathy and understanding, providing support and guidance during their interactions with the crematory facility.
* Manage incoming phone calls, emails, and inquiries, scheduling appointments, and handling administrative tasks efficiently and courteously.
* Maintain organized records and databases, including appointments, cremations performed, and relevant client information, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
* Process paperwork associated with the intake and cremation of deceased pets, including obtaining necessary authorizations, completing cremation certificates, and managing billing procedures.
* Assist in the preparation of deceased pets for cremation, including proper identification, handling, and placement in cremation containers, following established protocols.
* Ensure cleanliness, organization, and sanitization of the preparation area, equipment, and work surfaces, maintaining a hygienic environment.
* Drive company vehicles to transport deceased pets to and from veterinary clinics, homes, or other locations, adhering to safety regulations and protocols.
* Coordinate logistics for pet transfers and retrievals, communicating effectively with pet owners, veterinary clinics, and other involved parties to facilitate smooth operations.
* Collaborate with crematory operators and other team members to support workflow, address concerns, and ensure high-quality service delivery.
* Demonstrate professionalism, sensitivity, and respect in all interactions with pet owners, co-workers, and the public, recognizing the emotional significance of their experiences.

Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in office administration, customer service, or animal care is advantageous.
* Previous experience in customer service, administrative support, animal handling, or driving roles is desirable.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach to client interactions.
* Proficiency in computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft office & Xero software and database management.
* Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment.
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and the ability to safely operate company vehicles. Must have a manual drivers license.
* Physical capability to lift and move deceased pets with help and perform preparation tasks as needed.
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, to accommodate operational needs.
* Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity in all aspects of the role.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $27.00 – $29.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

* Urangan QLD: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
