We believe in creating opportunities, so all Victorians have the choice to access essential primary health care services.Mobile Patient Care (MPC) offers Non-Emergency Patient Transport primarily in Victoria and New South Wales. We work with a large fleet of ambulances and support our transport services with RFDS aircraft.MPC provides clinical care for people travelling from home to hospital, hospital to hospital and hospital to home, as well as transport to and from specialist clinics. The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) is seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to join our MPC team as Head of Enablement and Compliance.About The RoleThe primary purpose of this role is to develop and maintain and implement training programs for staff that promotes high quality patient care, a safe and high functioning operating environment for staff, compliance with industry protocols. The role is a higher duty for a staff member with a substantive role of ATA/Paramedic when not performing training or other project duties.Your Key Responsibilities Will IncludeContent development and delivery of the Annual Competency training program and the assessment of staff that is compliant with National StandardsContent development and delivery of the new staff induction program, including final assessment of staff as being ready for active deploymentLead the development and update of a training schedule with a program up to 12 months in advance where possibleWork with MPC Management, Clinicians, Clinical Instructors, Clinical and Quality Manager to identify staff training needs or areas of riskDevelop and deliver tailored training programs for staff needing to address specific skills and training gapsDevelop training programs for new equipment and/or new work methodsOversee the development of content for the ELMO online training platform and maintenance of up-to-date system contentParticipate in clinical reviews to identify training gaps & improvementsEnsure the accurate recording and reporting of staff attendance and assessment of any training providedPrepare documents, presentations and reports as required for leadership meetingsIdentify opportunities to improve business and clinical processes and ensure all processes are patient centric, efficient and effectivePromote a customer and patient centric culture that aligns to the values of the RFDSPromote a safe, compliant and respectful work environment for staff and respond in a timely fashion to issues as they ariseStrive for staff compliance with all clinical and legislative protocols and policiesLead projects to improve the functioning of the business and to increase safety, quality and effectiveness of MPCMentor and providing training to staff when on road working in the capacity of an ATAAssist with interview, assessment and orientation of new staff as requiredLog and maintain accurate education recordsAudit staff, policies and procedure compliance with National StandardTo Be Successful In This Role, You Will NeedAbility to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and conflicting prioritiesOpen, approachable and effective communication styleHighly experienced in the patient care industryAble to engage and build relationships with internal and external stakeholdersCapacity to lead a learning environment via formal and informal trainingExperience in patient transportMeet the requirements and qualifications of an ATAClinical Instructor qualification to support a clinical and non-clinical learning environment (preferred)Cert IV in Workplace Assessment and training (preferred)Mandatory Vaccination PolicyHepatitis BChicken PoxMeasles, Mumps and RubellaDiphtheria, Tetanus and PertussisTuberculosisAnnual InfluenzaThe Royal Flying Doctor Service, Victoria, is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
